FIFA U20 Women’s world cup 2014, the 7th edition, is played between 5th August and 24th September 2014. This tournament is hostied in Canada, who were already hosted the game in 2002. It was the prime edition. There are 16 nations were participating at FIFAU20 Women’s world cup.
All the 16 teams were classified in to four groups with four teams in each group. North Korea, Host nation Canada, Ghana and Finland are in Group A. Germany, USA, China and Brazil are in Group B. Nigeria, South Korea, England and Mexico are in Group C. France, New Zealand, Paraguay and Costa Rica are in Group D.
Two teams, who made good results from each group are advanced to second stage, To the Quarter final. North Korea and Canada, Germany and USA, Nigeria and South Korea, France and New Zealand are advanced from Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D respectively.
Germany won the world cup of Women Under twenty 2014. They had beaten Nigeria by 1-0. Asisat Oshoala of Nigeria was the Top scorer, who scored 7 goals. Pauline Bremer and Sara Däbritz were scored 5 goals and they were at second in Top goal Scorers. Claire Lavogez in third at most goals with 4 goals.
