2016 Summer Olympics Badminton Results and Medal Winners List with detailed report is here. 11th August to 20th August 2016 are scheduled dates for Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Badminton. Similar to 2012 schedule, a combination of group play and knockout has been maintained at Rio 2016 Summer Olympics Badminton.

Due to match fixing scandal from the previous Olympics, BWF made several changes in competition rules. Around 8400 shuttlecocks where stocked at Rio 2016 Warehouse for the Badminton matches.

There are Five events under Rio 2016 Badminton as usual. Men Single, Men Double, Women Single, Women Double and Mixed Doubles are events coming under Badminton sports. All the preliminaries round will starts on 11th August 2016.

Around 172 players from 47 countries are participating at Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. 14 players from South Korea and China are the participating nation with most number of participants. Then India and Indonesia with 10 players, Japan with 9, Malaysia with eight players are other best performing countries at Badminton with more players.

In last Olympics, London 2012, China scored all the five events with Gold medal and two of them with silver and one with Bronze also.
